The preseason gave both teams a chance to experiment with their younger players and rotate the squad. This will be the first matchup of the year where we will see both Chattanooga FC and Gold Star FC Detroit lineup at full strength. Markus Naglestad (Chattanooga FC) – Finishing the 2022 season with a total of 19 goals and 7 assists in League action, Naglestad not only earned himself a place on NISA’s First Team Best XI, but was also crowned the 2022 Golden Boot winner. The Norwegian striker will be looking to start the year right where he left off. He is sure to be a strong threat to opposing defenses and a player to watch throughout the season.
Roddy Green (Gold Star FC Detroit) – After having a good year at Chattanooga FC, Green made the move to Detroit and joined up with NISA’s newest team, Gold Star FC. This weekend will mark an important moment for both Green and current teammate, Alec Redington, as they both make their return to Finley Stadium in their opening season game. Look for Roddy Green to try and make an immediate impact on his new team.

The CFC Women’s team is a summer amateur team that competes in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL). Chattanooga Football Club became the first soccer club to offer true ownership to the fans in 2019 with 3,200+ investors from Chattanooga, all 50 states, and 31 countries. CFC plays all home games in Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.
