Before the Tennessee Volunteers swept away the Ole Miss Rebels on the baseball diamond this past weekend in Oxford, MS the series started with a bang as head football coach for Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin took to the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. However, the Lane-Train put his own spin on it… In case you missed it, check it out here:

What a way to start, it was actually the beginning of the end for the Rebels from the point that Kiffin decided to discard the baseball and reveal the golf ball that was thrown at him by UT fans on the football field this past season.
Here’s a refresher for you on that incident…
UT ended up outscoring Ole Miss 26-7 and the Vols starting pitching was incredibly impressive…
Just how good were Tennessee pitchers this past weekend against Ole Miss?
Chase Burns: 7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 11 K
Chase Dollander: 6.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 10 K
Drew Beam: 7.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 6 K
All together: 20.2 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 27 K— ESPN Chattanooga (@ESPNChattanooga) March 28, 2022
Tennessee is now 23-1 on the season and have a weekend series with Vanderbilt this weekend in Nashville which will be another major test.
