The No.1 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide will meet again at Mercedes Benz Stadium for what has the potential to be an all-time classic SEC championship game down in Atlanta.
Alabama was able to clinch the SEC West on Saturday with their win against Arkansas, 42-35. Georgia clinched the SEC East back in October against Florida.
Georgia has opened as a -3 favorite with an over/under of 49.5. The last time Alabama came in as underdog was against Georgia in 2015–a game the tide ended up winning 38-10.
These teams are obviously very different than they were six years ago. Georgia has proved to be the most dominant team in the NCAA with a soul-sucking defensive unit and stout offense–leading to an undefeated record.
While Alabama suffered a shocking loss to Texas AandM in October, this team still remains one of the most imposing opponents in the NCAA. Bryce Jones continues to show he in Heisman level quarterback and his receiving core is firing on all cylinders in their past few games.
Georgia only has Vanderbilt remaining this season while Alabama still has the Iron Bowl ahead of them.
Ole Miss trails Alabama for second place in the SEC West and Kentucky is behind Georgia in the SEC East.
The SEC Championship game is scheduled for Dec. 4th in Atlanta.
