A four-star high school football prospect with offers from all over the country, athlete Boo Carter has revived the first Name, Image, and Likeness deal of any student-athlete in the Chattanooga area.
Who’s the deal with? It’s an Illinois based pickle company called, SuckerPunch Gourmet Inc.
Thanks to @EatSuckerPunch for the sponsorship! I am very excited to announce my first NIL deal. @ncec_recruiting @CSmithscout @NatlPlaymkrsAca @coachTBarr@ChadSimmons_ @SWiltfong247 @scoop1914 @smsbacademy pic.twitter.com/XXrktbuJaS

Carter, a former football player at the Chattanooga Christian School is now currently enrolled at Brainerd high, he’s focused on playing at the next level in college, and hoping that a deal like this will help him learn from experience so he’ll be prepared when he gets there.
“Personally I feel blessed just to have the opportunity to sign an NIL deal,” said Carter, to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. “I believe it’s a really big deal for someone like me to have this chance in high school because I’ll be able to learn more about what to do and not to do once I get to college and have bigger NIL offers. I’m just excited that Tennessee made it OK for high school guys like myself to have these type opportunities.”
During his junior season at CCS, Carter had put up some rather impressive numbers with 1,478 offensive scrimmage yards, 28 touchdowns, and also recorded 40 tackles on defense while intercepting four passes and returning one of those for a score.
Where might Boo Carter end up playing at the next level? Well, in October he narrowed down his list of schools to the top 12 which included a lot of SEC flavor, Tennessee, LSU, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Clemson, Michigan State, Michigan, Miami, Arizona, Jackson State, Penn State, and Oregon.

Vol fans loved seeing Carter hanging out at Tennessee games throughout the season as he’d play on Friday and then drive up to Knoxville for games on Saturdays.

Who knows where he’ll end up but this is a cool opportunity for a local kid looking to make it big one day.
