On Saturday afternoon we witnessed something that had only happened four times in the history of the UTC Softball program but after the game against Radford during the Chattanooga Challenge the number rose to five times and that’s the number of times a pitcher had thrown a perfect game.
Brooke Parrott dominated, throwing seven innings, striking out four while throwing just 78 pitches.
During the Chattanooga Challenge this past weekend she was just about as equally great overall with numbers that really shine…
- 2-0, 2 saves, 0.74 ERA
- 19 IP, 2 ER
- 1 perfect game
- 5th in program history, first since 2002
- 3rd individual perfect game in Division I this season
- 11 strikeouts
In addition, she’s off to a great start to this season as she currently leads the team and the SoCon with a 0.71 ERA and she’s one of six pitchers in the nation with 2 saves and 3 wins.
In case you missed our conversation with Brooke on Tuesday, here’s the video version of it…
