CHATTANOOGA—Another day, another trio of Chattanooga Mocs are honored. This time it’s the nationally prominent Stats Perform All-America Teams presented by FedEx Ground. It’s a likely group too with Jay Person, Ailym Ford and Kam Brown mentioned once again.
Person, one of the dominant defensive presences in the nation, is a first team member at the edge position on the defensive line. That room is today’s GoMocs.com position-by-position focus found here.
Ford matches those credentials in the offensive backfield. He’s on the second team with Brown after his third 1,000-yard rushing campaign, the first Moc ever to record three. Brown is coming off an impressive junior year finishing tied for second nationally with six interceptions.
It’s the fourth preseason mention for Person and Brown, while Ford notched his second. The Mocs open the season Sept. 2 at North Alabama.
