Atlanta Braves World Series MVP Jorge Soler made a statement in game six with a monumental home run as the Braves won their first World Series Championship for the first time in 26 years. That long-ball that Soler powered over the Crawford Boxes in left field at Minute maid Park in Houston, TX Tuesday night was the shot in the arm Atlanta needed to take down former champs in the Houston Astros.
The ball Soler hit came off the bat at nearly 110 mph and traveled 446 feet out of the stadium which was incredible within itself but where did the ball end up once it left the stadium?
Apparently, once it exited stage left (field) the ball bounced off a green awning outside the stadium to protect fans from the elements as they enter the stadium and over a fense into an apartment complex where a man named Manuel Ramos retrieved it.

Solers bat made quite the impact on the baseball and according to a Chron.com story written by Matt Young, Mr. Ramos was attending an apartment party at his brothers place at 500 Crawford Downtown Apartments when the small, round, white object came flying into the complex where he and friends were watching the game. While the blast meant his Astros were trailing in the game 3-0 in the third inning after Luis Garcia hung a curveball to Soler, Ramos came away with a piece of World Series history.
According to the Chron.com story, when asked what he might do with the highly valued baseball Ramos said, “I don’t know, I’ve never had a World Series ball before.”
That ball certainly has some value to it but just how much could it be worth but is it about the money for Manuel? “It’s definitely a souvenir for someone; it would be a prized possession I’m sure. Seriously, it’s not about money for me though. I’m all about the H and an Astros fan for life, but if the Braves or (Soler) want it, I’d be open to it.”
It’ll be interesting to see if the Braves or Soler ask for it and how the negotiations go from there. If the Braves don’t ask for it, what might happen to the baseball? Will he keep it, will he try to sell the ball? We’ll all have to wait and see what shakes out.
World Series MVP Jorge Soler did not actually see his home-run ball leave Minute Maid Park.
He had already turned to the @Braves dugout to say, "I'm here." 😤 pic.twitter.com/vxu64jxmnB
