The week continued to get better and better last week for the Ringgold Tigers football program as on Thursday they were honored as the Georgia High School Football Daily State Team of the Week and then on Friday beat up on one of their rivals in Lakeview Fort-Oglethorpe 56-0.

The tone was set early and often by the Tigers on Friday as they dominated the Warriors in every facet of the game.
However, the phase of the game that stood out the most was the defense they were absolutely swarming all evening long and gave LFO quarterback Keenan Walker no space to operate. As I mentioned, the tone was set early as the Tigers defense led the way by scoring two touchdowns off turnovers in the first quarter and led 28-0. Brady Gray had the first defensive score as he returned a fumble to the house to make it 21-0 and then Kori Dumas added a pick-six to increase the lead to 28-0. The defense allowed just 72 total yards on the night against LFO.

The Warriors try to get something going on 3rd down but not to be as the pass is swatted away by the Tigers. @ESPNChattanooga pic.twitter.com/nLrIfhW4kV

The offense did their part as well, in particular on this incredible pass play where WR Jacob Garnica not only made the catch but put a couple of defenders on skates to slip into the end zone.
Put two defenders on skates ✔️
Score a TD ✔️
Put this game on ice before halftime ✔️
Jacob Garnica’s got that. @RHSTigersPride @RHSTigers1 @RinggoldFB pic.twitter.com/kDP3U1tO6J— ESPN Chattanooga Scores (@ESPNChattScores) September 18, 2021
The atmosphere was great on both sides in this one but obviously, the Warriors side was a bit deflated as the offense couldn’t muster much of anything and the defense did little to resist the opposing offensive attack.
